The Peninsula Chittagong traces its origins to 2003 when it was founded by Dr. Golam Arshad and Eng. Mosharraf Hossain as The Voyager Bangladesh LTD. In 2006, it was inaugurated as The Peninsula Chittagong Limited with 122 rooms. Following Dr. Arshad’s passing in 2011, Eng. Mosharraf Hossain became Chairman and oversaw facility expansions, adding 22 more rooms. In 2014, the company went public through an IPO, and Mr. Mahboob Ur Rahman assumed the role of Chairman after Eng. Hossain became Minister. The hotel underwent significant renovations in 2017, upgrading Saint’s Cafe, Cirrus Sky Dining, and Ozone Lounge. In 2018, a public share offering enabled the launch of a new 5-star project, The Peninsula Airport Garden. Further enhancements continued in 2019 with the renovation of Pulse Gym and Aqua Spa, reinforcing The Peninsula Chittagong’s commitment to excellence and hospitality.
